Established in 1999, the Zanesville Surgery Center is licensed by the state of Ohio, certified by Medicare and affiliated with most major HMOs and PPOs.

The Zanesville Surgery Center is located on the corner of Maple Avenue and Bell Street adjacent to the Maple Avenue Campus, and beside Northside Pharmacy.

The 22,000 square-foot center houses 7 major operating rooms and 3 rooms designated for gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures and laser procedures.

Zanesville Surgery Center will provide its patients with a convenient and accessible location; comfortable and friendly atmosphere; reliable scheduling and technology; and excellent personalized service.

Plans are to transition outpatient surgeries from Bethesda and Good Samaritan to the surgery center.

The development of the center was driven by several factors, including the desire to maintain local control of health care services, the enhancement of patient care, and the need to maintain costs in relation to declining health care reimbursement.
